Magnetic Effect of Current STEM Lab Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India

Magnetic Effect of Current STEM Lab

Product Code : SCL-ES-12462

The Magnetic Effect of Electric Current STEM Lab is an essential pedagogical tool designed for middle and high school students to explore the fascinating intersection of electricity and magnetism. Manufactured by Educational Instrument India, this kit bridges the gap between theoretical physics and practical application, allowing students to visualize invisible magnetic fields and understand the fundamental principles that power our modern world.

Why Choose Our STEM Lab?

At Educational Instrument India, we leverage decades of experience in manufacturing precision scientific apparatus. Our STEM kits are curated by expert educators and engineers to ensure safety, durability, and curriculum alignment (CBSE, ICSE, and International Baccalaureate).

Product Description

This comprehensive laboratory set allows students to perform classic experiments such as Oersted's Experiment, mapping magnetic field lines around straight conductors, circular loops, and solenoids. The kit is designed to demonstrate how a flow of electric charge creates a magnetic field, the basis of electromagnets, motors, and generators.

Key Learning Outcomes:

Understand the relationship between current direction and magnetic field orientation (Right-Hand Thumb Rule).

Visualize magnetic field patterns using iron filings and magnetic compasses.

Explore the factors affecting the strength of an electromagnet.

Demonstrate the force on a current-carrying conductor in a magnetic field (Fleming's Left-Hand Rule).

How to Use the Kit

Setup: Place the transparent base on a flat surface. Insert the desired conductor (e.g., the straight copper wire) into the terminals.

Connection: Connect the terminals to a DC power source (Battery Eliminator) using the provided patch cords. Include a rheostat in the series to control the current.

Visualization: Sprinkle a thin, even layer of iron filings on the transparent acrylic board.

Observation: Switch on the power. Gently tap the board. Observe as the iron filings align themselves in concentric circles, representing the magnetic field lines.

Directional Test: Place a magnetic compass near the wire. Change the direction of the current and observe the compass needle's deflection to understand polarity.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Is this kit safe for home use?

A: Yes. The kit operates on low-voltage DC (0-12V), making it perfectly safe for students under adult supervision.

Q2: Does the kit include a power supply?

A: Our standard kit includes a battery holder. However, for laboratory use, we recommend using an external Battery Eliminator, which is sold separately by Educational Instrument India.

Q3: Is the instruction manual included?

A: Absolutely. Every STEM Lab comes with a detailed, step-by-step experiment guide containing circuit diagrams and theoretical explanations.

Q4: Can we demonstrate the working of a Solenoid with this?

A: Yes, the kit includes a pre-wound solenoid coil specifically for demonstrating uniform magnetic fields and electromagnetism.
