About This Product
Sprinkling filings on card over a bar magnet shows the field lines from pole to pole, the ring and bar magnets show like poles repelling and unlike poles attracting, and the suspended needle shows the Earth acting as a magnet. Winding the copper wire on the iron rod and touching it to a 1.5V AA cell (not included) makes an electromagnet that picks up the clips only while current flows, and the test objects sort magnetic from non-magnetic materials.
